Tara Selver

Ms. Selver is the founding attorney of Lawyers for Criminal Justice.  She is an accomplished
lawyer who represents clients in matters ranging from environmental and white collar crime to
serious and violent crimes.  Ms. Selver is also experienced in state and federal habeas proceedings whether the claim seeks federal review of a state conviction, or whether it is based on ineffective assistance of counsel.  Additionally, Ms. Selver has numerous published decisions and has authored legal publications.

Ms. Selver graduated from the University of New Mexico School of Law where she was was a Law Review member.  Ms. Selver received her A.B. cum laude with departmental and general honors from Vassar College.  Before attending law school, Ms. Selver was Legislative Analyst to then - New Mexico State Liquor Director James R. Baca and subsequently, Legislative Consultant to then – New Mexico Governor Bruce King.

     
 
Randy Kravis


Randy Kravis litigates direct criminal appeals and habeas writs.  As a Navy JAG Corps Lieutenant, Mr. Kravis was awarded the prestigious Navy Commendation Medal for his outstanding appellate work.  Mr. Kravis graduated magna cum laude from American University Law School, was editor of the Law Review, and a member of the law school’s Honor Society.

     
  Patrick Valdez Patrick Valdez, founder of Valdez Law Firm, represents clients in deportation and removal proceedings before all federal courts, immigration courts, and the Board of Immigration Appeals.  Mr. Valdez also helps businesses and individuals obtain immigrant and non-immigrant visas through the United States Citizenship and Immigration Service and through foreign consulates.  These visas include family-based and employment-based applications for permanent residency, as well as non-immigrant visas for students, business people and a wide variety of professionals.  Mr. Valdez is bi-lingual in Spanish and English. Mr Valdez has a Business Bachelors Degree in Administration and a law degree from Southwestern University.
     
  Michele Douglass After graduating from Trinity School of Law, Ms. Douglass was a public defender in the Los Angeles County Office.  She now practices as both a trial and appellate lawyer; her successful record includes more than 15 reversals of misdemeanors, felonies and juvenile orders.  Ms. Douglas has a J.D. in Law, as well as a Masters in Clinical Psychology.
